Both of the foster kids were evaluated recently because we suspected that they are behind developmentally. Sure enough, they are. Georgia is behind in her social and cognitive skills and Henry is behind in his social, cognitive, and speech. I suspect that he is behind a little bit in his gross motor skills, too, but I guess it wasn't enough for the therapists to be alarmed.
Anyhow, they'll both be getting weekly therapies to help them catch up. I'm so glad that these services are available to them! Georgia and Henry have both made huge improvements in their skills since they've been with us, and I'm sure that they would keep improving, but now they'll be getting professional help and hopefully they'll reach their developmental milestones even faster.
