Husband and I read that some people like to add salsa to their macaroni and cheese. We decided to try it. Husband will mix just about any two food items in the kitchen together and eat them anyway, so he was all for it. We got mild salsa so the kids could taste it, too.
The kids loved it! It tasted just how you would expect-- nothing amazing but not bad, either. Mostly, I'm storing this in my mommy memory bank for when they start boycotting vegetables and I have to find ways to sneak a few onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes into their meals.
Also, I read that apples help reduce the severity and duration of nasal allergies. They help block histamines somehow. So don't skimp on the apples during allergy season!
