Clark's stuff is all packed for the hospital! I packed him a going home outfit (hat, onesie, pants with feet), a sleeper, two receiving blankets, a warm blanket, two burp cloths, and a few diapers. The hospital here sends you home with some diapers and wipes, but I wanted to pack a few of my own just in case.
Now all of the kids are ready to rock. Husband and I just have to pack our stuff up. I'm 35 weeks along now. Better get on it!!!
Wow! That's advanced planning. We packed our bags once I realized I was having contractions and the nurse on the phone told me to come to the hospital. My OB had recommended waiting to pack our bags so I would have something to do once I went into labor. I also did a couple loads of laundry and finished a manuscript I had been writing.
ReplyDeleteChris finally convinced me leave for the hospital because he said he didn't know how to deliver a breech baby in our living room. I thought it was just Braxton-Hicks contractions, but he was right to spur me along; when we got to the hospital the contractions were 2 minutes apart and Andy was born soon thereafter.
With Elise we packed early and I'm glad we did because my water broke in the night and we had to not only get ourselves ready (while I was leaking fluid everywhere) but get our foster son ready, too. With THREE babies to take care of, the last thing I want to do is figure out how many receiving blankets I should pack if my water breaks again!!! :)
